Sang Nyuk Mian(生肉面)is a very popular noodle dish, as such it has become an icon food of Sabah. Sabahans are so attached with Sang Nyuk Mian that the noodle is always highlighted in social media about Sabah.
In year 2016, we have brought this iconic dish to Kuala Lumpur, not only to introduce Sang Nyuk Mian, but also to serve the dish to everyone that loves Pork Noodle.
You can have Sang Nyuk Mian in two styles, Soup(煮汤)or Kon Lau(干捞)style.
In Soup style, you have everything that is served in one bowl but in Kon Lau style, it is served in separate bowls, one with noodles that are mixed in aromatic dark soy sauce and pork oil; and another bowl of tasty pork broth that comes with pork slices, meatballs and internal organs (livers and intestines).
You may choose Bee Hoon (which is thicker in Sabah Style), Yellow Noodle, Lou Shu Fun and Kuay Teow in noodle selections.
The soup is boiled with bones as one of the main ingredients. The taste is deep and satisfying. Pork slices, meatballs, livers and intestines are served in soup by default. If you are not used to internal organ, you can ask for meat-only soup.
The meat is from the rib section on the back of boar, and to be cut in slim sliced, then seasoned with tapioca powder and salt, to give it extra smoothness and taste. With the floating minced and crispy pork fat, it enhances the taste perfectly.
For chili lovers, you can add the homemade blended chili for spicy flavor.

No, Malaysians from other states think that Sang Nyuk Mian is same as Mixed Pork Noodle, but Sang Nyuk Mian is totally Sabah style. The meat slices are fresh, smooth and tender. Sang Nyuk Mian literally means Fresh Pork Noodle. The meat is made of fresh raw meat. And not to worry, the meat is definitely cooked.
