As what Al Capone once said, “When I sell liquor, it’s bootlegging. When my patrons serve it on a silver tray on Lakeshore Drive, it’s hospitality”. CRIME was inspired by the prohibition era during the 1920’s; transforming veto into business opportunities and breaking the rules for having the best “house drinks” in a secret place. Surrounded by nostalgia, historical depth and cocktail intricacy, Crime has come to exude an atmosphere of a bygone era of time.
The Prohibition, was ultimately America’s failed attempt to ban alcohol and thus, out of this period gave us, so many amazing classic cocktails that are showcased and served in CRIME. As we enter into a new age of cocktails, we go along revisiting old ones, exploring new boundaries and refreshing existing concoctions. CRIME will always be that anomaly of in between old and new. Combining into an effortlessly progressive place for good drinks and sharing all good things in life.
At CRIME we particularly pay attention to our interactions with our guests. Some are our regulars and some our faces we may not see again or for some time. Which is a privilege to always take pride as we welcome anyone and everyone from the 4 corners of the globe. So come on down, revisit, reminisce, relax and unwind to a drink or 2, to a time when big bands played Jazz, in brass orchestras and swingng to the fox trot…
We look forward to seeing you in CRIME BAR!
