The Deceased KL
The Deceased Bar used to be an old Chinese drugstore. The whole backdrop of the bar area is made up of Chinese medicine cabinets, which resembles its historic past. Instead of medicinal herbs, the bartenders store their tools to help them create crafty cocktails for us.
Kick started by Steven Yap, Ng Sin Leong and bartender Steven Wan, The Deceased got its identity by accident. Yap admitted that they did not originally intend for the speakeasy to be so, um well, dead; the ideas they brought to the brainstorm table took a creatively dark turn though. They had initially planned for it to be a casual, chill space but shortly after opening, found that its patrons quite liked the idea of drinking with the dead.
