Poon Kee started its with a tricycle’s hawker stall since 1953 by the grandfather. He sold different kinds of desserts which are all comes from his own recipe. In 1975, the father took over the business and applied a brand name to the stall. The “stall” has eventually transformed into a three wheels motorcycle. Within year 2008 until now, they already owned a shop units, 2 three wheels motorcycles and 4 hawker’s lorries.

Slowly, the father passed down his recipe that include 20 years of experiences to the son. Good thing must be passing down from one generation to another. All the desserts and ingredients are freshly cooked every day!!

The fresh coconut milk is the key of making their signature Oat’s Porridge. By adding the fresh coconut milk, the Oat’s Porridge smells more tasty and the soup texture became smoother. Besides, they also have the Peanut’s soup and Black Sesame’s soup. The freshly cooked Black Sesame’s soup has contains rich nutrition that benefits our skincare.

If you want to try both Peanut’s soup and Black Sesame’s soup, you don;t have to worry of ordering two sets of soup. Just order “TAI JI”, a soup that mix with Peanut and Black Sesame Soup. Interestingly, they used the mixture of two kinds to draw a pattern of TAI JI (yin yang) on it.

Attention Here!!! The Green Bean Soup, Black glutinous rice porridge and Barley Soup will ONLY be selling on Saturday and Sunday !!! The shop and hawkers’ lorry are selling “Chu Qiong Fun” too!!! You can have both dessert and Chu Qiong Fun at the same time at Poon Kee!!
